Red Sox looking rather amazing, and up 3-1. Brewers in the dumps and the vile LA Dodgers in full control. Some great baseball.

First Man... slightly disappointing.
superb acting (Ryan is amazing), true story, well made film, funky results.

I really don't think of Neil Armstrong as a great inspiration for a character study movie. While Neil was far from boring, his personality isn't flashy or exciting... he's merely extremely remarkable.

I understand that the movie was not a moon landing movie but a movie about Neil (which is why I said what I did above), but to completely gloss over the technical and engineering aspects of such a feat of that era is really almost miss construing the historical events that surround such a task.

Neil was a great man, and a historical figure for generations to come... this is just not a great movie.

This is so cool-ish. At the new job, I'm supposed to create a playlist that will be played during my first day.

The list is supposed to be at least 21 songs. I'm currently at 41 and still adding more. It has classical, rap, rock, EDM, punk, and more. Mostly hidden gems most people never heard...

It's tempting to add some of my own music to it, but that feels a little egotistical.

So everyone hears it?

Yep. It's going to be played in the office.

Asking me to share music is just asking for it, lol.

Trying for more uptempo stuff like this:

i dont understand really what you are being hired to do. but if you are doing something make sure it is what the people that hired you want or like if you want to be there awhile.

Not sure what's going on here. Is this still the movie thread? Well, here's my review for:

Bad Times at the El Royale - 5/10 (Decent)

I'm not sure what's going on either. Something seems screwed up.

First Man was quite good....I think what people forget in this age of Star Wars and other space movies, just how difficult and dangerous the Apollo program was.

The Gemini 8 flight reenactment was superb, and completely filmed from the POV of Armstrong and Scott...it was nerve-wracking.

I could not watch the Apollo 1 fire sequence. I had to close my eyes. That's still a horrible, horrible event.

When Apollo 11 lifts off, I loved how they show the pure violence and insanity of sitting on those rockets. Watching the moon landing again was great....

IMO, this is still the most remarkable achievement in the history of mankind.

The moon landing, not this movie.
