No drinking tonight. Killed off a couple bottles of Sancerre last night with the two girl friends over dinner and talk. Fortunately, she only lives a mile from me so no trouble driving home.

The rest of the weekend finds me at my daughter's house and niece's house, and the drives home are about an hour, so last night was the only one for over indulging.

Just polished off a delightful plate of spagetti and meat sauce and having an egg nog white russian for dessert. My first holiday drink of the season. These things are tasty but very heavy. One of these things is plenty. Continuing my Christmas movie binge. Tonight I am going with classics. Miracle on 34th Street and unless I pass out White Christmas.

Going to take my GF to see In the Mood For Love tomorrow night at out local art house theater. I have never seen it on the big screen, and she has never seen it at all. Can't wait.

Wow. That makes me jealous. And there are times (almost always) that I wished I lived somewhere with revival movie houses. The only one around here shows stuff like Jaws and Die Hard. Nothing wrong with that, but . . .

I would be shocked if she doesn't like it.

Merry Christmas Lounge! Hope everyone has been drinking, eating and celebrating too much. Hope Santa showed up and got you all more than a piece of coal. This coming week is a weird time. Even before retirement I never worked the Christmas to New Years period. But I never did anything or went anywhere either. Usually catch up on a lot of reading and movie consumption.

Pet sitting once again this week. First job (yes two) is only for a day and a half. Just need to feed the cats and the dog. Will stop by a couple of times today and tomorrow and take the dog for a walk. My friend's daughters sent me three cat videos with instructions. Their mother sent me one video showing where everything is although I already know.

Second job is three nights for the brother's in laws. They have one cat and a huge old golden. I didn't receive any video instructions for them.

Sometimes I think I really do need to get a life.
