Re: Married With Children - Episode by Episode Guide and Discussion

Season 10, Episode 9: The Two that Got Away

Synopsis: Al and Jefferson go fishing, but when they arrive at the lodge they are told that Shannon Tweed, a famous actress, has taken their reservation and there are no more cabins available. When Al and Jefferson return home, they discover that they have a naked picture of Shannon and Randolph in a hot tub, and they hold a tabloid auction to see which publication will offer the highest price. Meanwhile, Bud and Kelly take Lucky to a commercial audition for Hungry Puppy Dog food, and the only way Lucky will perform is if Kelly demonstrates the tricks first.

5/10: Weakest one of the season so far, but you know, still not bad. Best part was Al taking Jefferson's advice and being completely honest with Peg.

Dialogue:
------------------------
Al : Jefferson, would you stop taking pictures so we can enjoy this place?
[two blond ladies enter]
Al: Jefferson, would you start taking pictures so we can enjoy this place?
-----------------------
Randolph: Let me explain something. You're nobodies and you have a reservation. Shannon Tweed is a famous actress and she doesn't have a reservation. Explanation over, now get off my property.

Season 10, Episode 10: Dud Bowl 2

Synopsis: Marcy's bank, Kyoto National, plans to donate a new scoreboard to Polk High and name it after Polk's most famous football legend. Al, having scored four touchdowns in a single game, assumes that it is him; but, Marcy hates Al and is determined to find another former Polk football star. And, when she discovers that Terry Bradshaw once attended Polk for 2 months, she is certain that she has found her man.

5/10: Again, weak, but still some good laughs here and there - mainly at Marcy's expense. And some good Kelly moments.

Dialogue:
------------------------
[Kelly is locked in house because she's pushing at the door, which pulls open]
Al: Push, pumpkin.
[Kelly pulls open door and leaves]

Season 10, Episode 11: Bearly Men

Synopsis: When the Bundys travel to Wanker County to persuade Peg's dad to come retrieve his wife, Al and Bud must somehow prove their manliness to Peg's dad. They go hunting and bring back what they think is a dead bear they found in the woods. Back in Chicago they are in for a big surprise when the bear wakes up from hibernation and wreaks havoc on the Bundys and the city.

5.5/10: A slight improvement, and always like seeing Al and Bud in a fistfight - Bundys kick ass.

Dialogue:
------------------------
[Al is preparing to fight the gang leader]
Al Bundy: Any last words, punk?
Gang Guy: Yeah, your wife's good in bed!
Al Bundy: So, you're a liar, too!
------------------------
Al: Hey Marcy, did you see some guy dragging off my dead bear?
Marcy: He's not dead you chucklehead. He just violated my Mercedes!
Peg: How do you know?
[Jefferson enters looking deshelveled and wide-eyed]
Jefferson: Because we were in it.
Peg: Marcy, are you okay?
Marcy: Oh, I'm all right. A little in shock and jealous.
Peg: Jealous?
Marcy: Well, you should have seen him go and go and go. My God, if a car could smile.

Great line, good episode.

Why isn't peggy in this season? I think she did a couple phone calls but not really in this season?

Re: Married With Children - Episode by Episode Guide and Discussion

When did she go out of town looking for her father? I bet that was just a few episodes and I am not remembering them correctly. It is amazing how well Beer and Married with children go together.

Season 10, Episode 12: Love Conquers Al

Synopsis: Al and Peg go with her father and mother to Dr. Richelieu's love compound and water park, hoping to patch things up between the two. At home, Kelly invites her new lust interest, Carlos, over to the house. Carlos agrees to the date only if Bud will keep his "virginal" sister, Esmerelda, occupied.

6/10: This was good fun, watching Al get more and more peeved at the touchy-feely marriage guidance place, watching Bud really get some, and Kelly completely fail to get some. Bud finally announcing for once in his life, he's not feeling horney was funny as hell.

Dialogue:
------------------------
Peg: Al, I don't know why you are so happy. All my father did was call to say that he had some big news.
Al: What could be bigger than your mother? In captivity that is.
-----------------------
Ephraim: Al, there's a little problem. It's Mama. She's a little shy.
Al: Of what? A metric ton?

Season 10, Episode 13: I Can't Believe It's Butter

Synopsis: Al gives a lonely Griff 20 free minutes on 1-900-YUMMY for Christmas, a phone sex line that soon has Griff hooked as a regular customer. When Al discovers who the voice of Griff's phone sex partner really is he then tries to keep Griff from going through with his plan of asking "Butter" to spend the holidays with him.

6.5/10: This was pretty funny, with Al realising his beast of a mother-in-law is 'Butter' the sexphone lady that all his friends are obsessed with, then realising if they found out, the Bundy's would stop getting the money she's making. I really enjoyed this, particularly Peg getting turned on when she has to talk dirty with Griff.

Dialogue:
------------------------
Jefferson: Since the wives are downtown feeding dinners to the homeless, shouldn't we be at the nudie bar feeding dollars to the topless.
------------------------
Where Christmas is nice and lap dances are half-price.
At the nudie bar!
Where you drink down the shooters, and unwrap the hooters.
At the nudie bar!
Where eggnog's a plenty, and the girls are all 20.
At the nudie bar!

Re: Married With Children - Episode by Episode Guide and Discussion

Season 10, Episode 14+15: The Hood, the Bud and the Kelly Parts 1+2

Synopsis: Synopsis: Al buys a satellite dish from a discount store and he and Jefferson insist on installing it themselves. Also, Bud borrows money from the Mob to finance an exercise video starring Kelly and Latin hunk Raphael. During the shoot Kelly and Raphael get into a huge fight, each storming off to their dressing rooms. Bud finds out that the backers of the video are dangerous hoods who threaten his life should the video not get made. Bud must complete his video by 5:00 PM or else he will be swimming with the fishes in cement boots. And, the fact that Kelly and Rafael both insist on being the one and only star has Bud sweating to complete his project before The Mob's deadline of 5PM. Meanwhile, Peg and Marcy think that the guys are totally useless since they have been on the roof trying to install the satellite dish for hours. But, the guys are not useless, they just have no use for the women and have retreated to the roof as their new safe haven.

6.0/10: Pretty fun, though not that memorable. The secondary story with all the guy on the roof being idiots and constantly falling off was the best part of it, but overall it was fun throughout.

Dialogue:
------------------------
Peg: Al, I don't understand why you have to take me with you when you go out to buy new underwear for yourself.
Al: Well, you're the one that has to look at them when you wash them.
Peg: I don't look at them, and I don't wash them. I just... dry them.

Season 10, Episode 16: Calendar Girl

Synopsis: Al and Bud get competitive with Floyd Babcock (owner of the rival shoe store in the mall) and his son, Little Floyd, when Bud and Little Floyd must complete a project for their business class. Bud's idea is to make a "Women of Trumaine" calendar; when he hires Crystal, a gorgeous co-ed, to be the calendar's cover girl, Al and Floyd decide to put their money together and take the project national. Crystal is strangely reluctant to "go national" in a string bikini and Bud must work overtime to convince her to pose

6.0/10: Some good goofy fun, with Al trying to one-up a more successful shoestore owner, Babcock. And a great final surprise for Bud.

Dialogue:
------------------------
Peggy: I'll be home just as soon as I find Dad, and believe me, I am leaving no stone unturned.
Al: Where are you?
Peggy: Well I just left Tiffany's. You wouldn't believe how big some of their stones are.
Al: You should see some of mine. I just felt a big one leave my kidneys and head for my urinary tract.
------------------------
Bud: Parents love their children no matter what they do.
Al: Damn you, Kelly. You ate my last Hershey's Kiss. You're in the will.
Kelly: NO, DAD. NO.

Ok I was wrong. From about episode 16 to the end of season, she just pops up giving phone calls to Al, otherwise she's absent. Turns out Katey Sagal was on maternity leave

Season 10, Episode 17: The Agony and the Extry C

Synopsis: On the D'Arcy's anniversary, Marcy makes Jefferson promise they will spend a quiet, romantic evening together alone, and that he won't hang around Al. Naturally, Jefferson gets lured away to the nudie bar by Al and the NO MA'AM guys. One thing leads to the next and a drunken Jefferson decides to get Marcy the ultimate anniversary gift - an "I Love Marcy" tattoo. Only problem is that the tattoo artist has been partying with them and ends up giving him an "I Love Mary" tattoo. Al must help him figure out a way to get this past Marcy.

6.25/10: Some laughs mostly from the guys of No Maam doing their thing in the Jiggly room (Officer Dan always cracks me up), and also at the expense of Jefferson's old, old fellow patient in the bed next to him. Not great, but solid.

Dialogue:
------------------------
Doctor #2: How are we feeling today, Mr. O'Malley?
O'Malley: My heart hurts.
Doctor #2: That's good. Good. [to his assistant] Tack on another grand for the consulation. Plus, you'll get your usual 10% cut from his death benefit.
------------------------
Iqbal: Mr. D'Arcy, shall I continues to charge the lap dances on your wife's credit card?
Jefferson: Sure, Iqbal. After all, it's her anniversary too.
------------------------
Officer Dan: [dancing on stage at the Jiggly Room] Hey, look at me! I'm a Village Person!
------------------------
Al: Jefferson, we are all taking you out today to celebrate your wedding anniversary since you don't work.
Jefferson: So, how come you guys are not at work?
Al, Griff, Bob Rooney, Ike: We're sick.
Officer Dan: Except for me. I'm working.
Police Dispatcher: All units, all units, report to city hall. The mayor has been taken hostage by a group of...
Officer Dan: [turns off his radio] Blah, blah, blah, shut up!
------------------------
Peggy: [speaking from a cell phone inside a Parisian taxi cab] Al? Is that you? I'm in Paris. Everyone here is so rude and smelly, I'm just thinking about you all the time.

Re: Married With Children - Episode by Episode Guide and Discussion

Almost caught up...I'd forgotten how much I loved this show

A few things:

Bud screaming never gets old
Neither does someone getting thrown around with the rag doll stand in.
Dumb Vindictive Kelly >>> Full Retard Kelly
I really dislike the alternate music for the theme. Love & Marriage ftw

I couldn't find the vid but favorite Marcy joke "I am not a chicken...whydoeshekeepcallingmeachicken??" <while pecking>
