Season 11, episode 11: Bud on the Side

Synopsis: Al advises a love-starved Bud to lower his standards, never dreaming it could lead him to a fling with Al's boss, Gary.

6/10 - pretty good, with some excellent work by Al when he finds out what Bud is doing, and then finds out Gary is installing a break room with TV and fridge full of beer, and changes his mind about it.

Dialogue:
-------------
Gary: "Oh, Piglet! I almost forgot! I got you a present."
Bud: "Thank you, Pooh Bear!"
[Al heaves and tries not to vomit]
Griff: "If they start talking about the honeypot, I've bids on the sink"
-------------
Peg: Al, would you relax? You told Bud to find someone desperate.
Al: When I said aim low, I didn't think he'd excavate the Tar PITS!
-------------
Al: I'm talking 'bout a break room, Peg. At work. With massage tables and a fridge full of beer. As long as Bud keeps Gary happy, I'm happy. And as long as I'm happy... I'm happy.
Peg: Yeah, well, what about me?
Al: Don't be selfish, Peg.
-------------
Al: And love and marriage go together like... Peg, what do love and marriage go together like?
Peg: How the hell should I know?

Season 11, episode 12: Grime and Punishment

Synopsis: After Al starts charging Bud rent, his tennant starts making certain demands over his accomodation. Al refuses to co-operate, and is horrified when a building inspector labels him a slumlord and confines him to Bud's basement room until he agrees to make the required repairs.

6/10 - Pretty solid, and kind of fun to see Al suffer, and I like the tribute to Nosferatu with Peg's shadow on the wall.

Dialogue:
-------------
Peg: Oh, Al. It's time for your conjugal visit.
Al: No! No! Help Me!
Peg: Shut up, Al! You're my bitch now!
-------------
Bud: Gee, Dad, Mom left teeth marks all over your neck.
Al: No, son, that was me, I tried to sever my own jugular. Damn clotting.
-------------
Health Inspector (a large lady): Mr. Bundy, you had a month to get this basement in shape.
Al: You had your whole life to get in shape and you don't see me condemning you.

Season 11, episode 13: T*R*A*S*H

Synopsis: Seeking regular meals, Al and Griff join military reserves and are subsequently ordered to help with a garbage strike, with Jefferson as their leader.

5.5/10 - Nothing great, but passable, especially when Al keeps wanting to quit and realises it means to has to go home to Peg if he does.

Dialogue:
-------------
Griff: Oww! This bunk mattress is hard, and this pillow is all lumpy.
Al: At least it doesn't have red hair and begs for sex.
-------------
Drill Instructor: Drop and give me 50, mall scum!
Al: I don't have a 50-dollar bill. All I got is this five.
-------------
Griff: Al, if I don't make it, would you look up my ex-wife and...
Al: Tell her that you love her?
Griff: No. Tell her she's a bitch!

Season 11, episode 14+15+16: Breaking Up is Easy To Do

Synopsis: Peggy and Al together visit a marriage counselor - but wind up leaving separately. Al gets a room by the airport. He spies on Peggy in a single bar, where she finds a new beau. Peggy's new beau loses Bud and Kelly's support when they learn their potential "step-daddy" may force them to find work. Al and Peg make up, destroying the Dodge in the process.

5.5/10 - reasonably entertaining, but nothing really great. It's kind of a sweet story though, seeing both Peg and Al a bit lost when they're not together.

Dialogue:
-------------
Al: I do not floss. I do not eat vegetables. I do not like French pasteries. I do not like the French!
-------------
Bud (about Peg): I haven't seen her this low since that kid at McDonalds asked her if she was Ronald's mom.
-------------
Al: Uh, excuse me. I'm spending the night with a supermodel. Are these all the condoms you have?
Shop Assistant: Of course not. I have more in back. Right next to the reality pills.
-------------
Marcy: This may come as a shock to you, but I never really cared much about your ex-husband.
Peg: We're not divorced.
Marcy: Think positive, Peggy!

Season 11, episode 17: Live Nude Peg

Synopsis: Al and his "NO MA'AM" boys enjoy an amateur night at the nudie bar, where Al becomes infatuated with a disguised Peggy.

5.75/10 - Whilst not hilarious, this one's a lot of fun, with Peg rushing back each night to get home before Al, who's been all turned on by 'Jasmin' (who's Peg) and needs to have sex. Everyone's happy until Al accidentally calls Peg 'Jasmin' in bed... Also fun are the various strippers that take part in amateur night, including an ancient one and one who has an unusual line in tap-dancing.

Dialogue:
-------------
Chesty LaRue: Don't worry, men. I haven't lost a step. I'm as sexy as I was when I entertained the troops.
Al Bundy: Union or Confederate?

Season 11, episode 18: A Babe in Toyland

Synopsis: TV stardom goes to Kelly's head when she becomes a hit while subbing for a kiddie-show host after his breakdown. Meanwhile, Peg and Al get twin beds.

5.5/10 - Not bad, fun to see a guy in charge of a kid's show crack on screen, and Kelly being a Diva. The subplot with Al and Peg getting twin beds was fun though.

Dialogue:
-------------
Kelly (holding a ventriliquist doll that looks like Bud): Aww kids, Budrick is sad. He can't get any girl dolls to play with him, so he has to play with himself.

Season 11, episode 19: Birthday Boy Toy

Synopsis: Jefferson becomes a star attraction at a health club after Marcy gives him a membership; Bud directs Kelly and Al in a commercial for the shoe store.

5/10 - Eh, no really big laughs, but passable. Peg deliberately hooking Jefferson on home shopping to feed her own addiction was good.

Dialogue:
-------------
Griff: Bud, did I ever tell you that I was Dorothy in my high school production of The Wiz?
Bud: All male school?
Griff: No.
-------------
Jefferson: How am I going to pay for this?
Marcy: Three words.
Jefferson: I love you?
Marcy: Try again.
Jefferson: Hop on Pop?
Marcy: Get a job.
[Peg and Jefferson gape in horror]

Season 11, episode 20: Damn Bundys

Synopsis: Al finds that hell's a breeze after selling his soul to play for the Chicago Bears, so the devil has to make an adjustment.

5/10 - Some fun parts, but mostly average. Robert Englund was in it (the guy that played Freddy Kreuger originally) as Lucifer.

Dialogue:
-------------
Lucifer: Now here comes my favorite part, your itenuary of eternal torments. For the next millenium, you'll be exclusively dining on the most hideous food ever known to man.
[lifts the top to reveal weenie tots]
Lucifer: Weenie Tots.
Al: Oooh, I love those.
Lucifer: Really? Well what you don't know that a steady diet of weenie tots would cause you to spend an eternity in the bathroom.
Al: Why do you think I love them?
Lucifer: All right, Mr. Bundy. Since you find Hell such a picnic. How about this? For the rest of eternity, you'll never see your family again!
Al: This is HEAVEN!
-------------
Peg: Al Bundy, this is all your fault. I shouldn't be down here in Hell with you. I should be up in Heaven having sex with a young Elvis.
Al: Well, then it wouldn't be Heaven for him anymore, would it?

Season 11, episode 21: Lez Be Friends

Synopsis: Marcy expresses jealousy over the popularity of her cousin Mandy, who shares Al's taste for beer, sports - and women.

5/10 - An odd episode, it's just strange seeing MWC touch on something involving a gay lifestyle unless it's played for crude laughs. But a decent if average episode.

Dialogue:
-------------
[Al opens his front door and sees Marcy's identical cousin, Mandy]
Al: Hey Peg, look here. The fifth Beatle.
Mandy: [husky voice] I'm not Marcy. I'm Mandy, Marcy's cousin.
Peg: Wow, you and Marcy really do look alike.
Mandy: You think so? I know I'm no supermodel, but I never really thought I looked like a chicken.
Al: I like her.

Season 11, episode 22: The Desperate Half-Hour

Synopsis: The Bundys and the D'Arcys are held hostage by Bud's prison pen pal and her dimwit boyfriend Lonnie who has a meeting of the minds with Kelly.

5.25/10 - Not bad, and I laughed a lot when Griff came in with 3D glasses, and thought the gunwoman was part of a 3D movie. And Kelly gets a proposal!

Dialogue:
-------------
Peggy: Daddy's our secret weapon.
Kelly: Yeah, if he leaves the bathroom door open.

Season 11, episode 23: How to Marry a Moron

Synopsis: Kelly wants to marry Lonnie. Al is happy when he hears that Lonnie is the son of a millionaire, but then he meets him at the nudie bar.

5.5/10 Lol the Bundys throw a wedding for Kelly, and you have to see all the guys that turn up 'for the bride'. Not bad, but I sure am glad Kelly doesn't get married.

Dialogue:
-------------
Peg: Are you okay?
Kelly: I think so. I mean, I'm gonna miss Lonnie, but at least I have something that will always remind me of him.
Al: A $10,000 wedding debt?
Kelly: No Daddy, that's yours. I've got this.
[shows the diamond ring she still is wearing]
Kelly: And of course, my loved ones to console me.
Bud: We're here for you, Kel.
Kelly: Not you.
[Kelly runs and stands in front of her former boyfriends]
Kelly: Them.

Season 11, episode 24: Chicago Shoe Exchange

Synopsis: Al and Griff simply must have the nifty massage chair from the upscale gadget store. Since they are broke, they decide to barter their way to more relaxed muscles. Meanwhile, Kelly practices her newly learned massage techniques on Bud.

5.75/10 - The best bits of this episode was seeing Bud suffer as each moronic attempt by Kelly, Jefferson and Peg to help him just made it so much worse. Reasonably fun, but not the GREAT episode that this show should have ended on.

Dialogue:
-------------
Peggy: Daddy's our secret weapon.
Kelly: Yeah, if he leaves the bathroom door open.

Did you not rate anything lower than a 5? I can't remember any. Seems like that was your base rating and you went up from there.

Not sure what you mean by the "pilota" thing, but I agree with the England show(s). I think it was a two-parter. Completely horrible.

If you mean "pilots" I still can't figure it out.
