I've had it and the texture just doesn't appeal to me. The meat is very sweet but the texture is just weird.

aww man, I forget how fish tacos aren't really a staple item elsewhere in the country. But yeha, fish tacos are really good. Was the fish fried or grilled?

The Latest Kevineats entry is pretty good. He eats at M Voltaggio's place and runs in to Chad Brown and Vanessa Rousso.

This is making me queasy just thinking about it. The raw chicken thing on Food network was Japan too. I saw it as well and just about hurled watching it.

For the record, I am lurking and enjoying all of this stuff!

I had two fish tacos and a dozen steamed clams for lunch, with two Tecates. The fish was lightly fried grouper, with mango, lettuce, and a little remoulade. The clams were a REAL treat: steamers. If you haven't had real steamers, they are soft shell clams with a black neck that comes out, served with a side of the steaming liquid and also butter (but I prefer the jus). Hand cut fries and homemade baked beans on the side.

It would have been hard to feel much better than I did when I was having lunch today.

I am a winner at life.

At least I was for about an hour, earlier today.

P.S. I just made patty melts for dinner, and they were absolutely awesome. I used really dark pumpernickel, and I added pickles, and it was sublime. My fiance had never had one before, and she couldn't get over how much she loved it.

There is something good that results between the combination of Mexican beer and fresh seafood.

never been a big fan of Japanese beer for some reason. If I'm having Japanese food, specifically seafood, I like to drink Champagne.

It's this season's artisanal look. Very fashionable, very individual.

Very much so, and it is a very reasonable comparison.

But yes, steamers all day long for me.

I grew up in New England so I pretty much love all seafood. Growing up I preferred mussels to steamers but now that I've been in Vegas for a year and I haven't seen a steamer I feel like I'd rather have big bowl of them.

I just roll it out as thin as possible to whatever shape. I should obviously learn to throw it in the air and get it thin and circular that way.
