I dare you to get sexual reassignment surgery tomorrow, open a discrimination lawsuit with the next college who doesn't hire you, then write an article in The Times about it.

Summer fruits are amazing, aren't they? Strawberries, raspberries, cherries, nectarines, peaches. Manna from heaven.

I have a number of colleagues who end emails with putatively inspirational quotations, so I was thinking of ending mine wth this Bible quote: "'Tis better to dwell in the desert than live with an angry and contentious woman."

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Whatever the quote, just make sure you attribute it to Einstein.

They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust*. (KJV)

* In reference to yourself of course.

I like:

He that troubles his own house shall inherit the wind.

"Why, then, ’tis none to you, for there is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so. To me it is a prison."

A fine suggestion, Zeno. In fact, I like all the suggestions. Better than "Be the change you want to see in the world."

I like this:

"pffstbsjdiens think what?"

did you think "what?"

"I SAID dumb people think what!"

-- Einstein

Nah, here's a real one. I like the irony of it.

"He is all right. You know, for a mathematician he did not have enough imagination. But he has become a poet and now he is doing fine." -- David Hilbert
