A bit off topic but is piano much harder to pick up and learn on your own compared to guitar and bass? Are there many resources online that are free?

Tough to say, for me atleast, as I've learnt piano in the local music academy, taught by a private teacher. Shouldn't be much harder to learn the basics, though. There are many YouTube pianists who make tutorials for different songs and keep blogs or w/e where they teach some more.

And Black Hole Sun is a good suggestion, will start working on it.

The beginning reminded me of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata.

Funny you mentioned that, I just got the sheets for this one song by Christopher Norton. He's a rock/jazz pianist/composer and this song is called Ode to Joy, as the Beethoven piece, and Norton wrote it by that piece, bringing the theme up every once in a while, but with a rocky rhythm. Seems like a fun song.
