OK folks. We are rapidly approaching Wookie Baby. I should have probably updated you good people awhile ago, but no matter. No news has indeed been good news, and things are going well. Since my last post, we have had multiple baby showers, and at one of them, we received the blanket. I am going to deliberately omit most context, as MrsWookie and I have come into a dispute over this blanket, a dispute that can only be settled by the good people of the internet. The dispute is over the best description of the dominant color of the blanket, and the loser will clean the microwave. The blanket will be used to its fullest extent regardless of the judgment of the internet of its color, and it will be a well loved gift regardless of the judgment. The blanket pictured below has three colors, one of which I would describe as yellow, one of which I would describe as purple, and the dominant color, which is in dispute. The photograph was taken on my phone in natural light, and it is agreed by both parties that it is representative of the true color of the blanket. The question to you is how you would describe that dominant color: more green, or more blue? The order of the items in the poll has been randomized by a coin flip, and the wording of this post has been agreed upon by both parties as neutral.

Also, it was requested specifically by MrsWookie that you show when possible this picture to your significant other and to add their vote as a post in the thread in bold text. She's not dumb, and knows it's mostly men around here, so there's some enhanced probability for colorblindness (I am not).

First and it's blue.

Blue, but that bottom part of the top fold looks very close to green...

I see blue on a high-PPI display, but ran a bunch of eyedropper samples (from different parts of the image) in Photoshop.

The results consistently show more blue than green.




For reference, if I alter the image color to where blue/green are at about equal levels, it looks like this

Nonsense, this one is definitely more green than blue.

I took probably 10 samples around the main color and blue and green levels were about the same. I adjusted to get to that point.

Yeah, both eyeball and Photoshop colour-drop confirm: blue.

If people aren't viewing on a color calibrated monitor the picture is useless.

We agreed to the terms knowing this risk. For ascertainable but unstated reasons, we didn't want to settle this in person with people we know.

I mean, it's a faint yellow, but it looks yellow to both of us, and paint.net agrees with me. Just a bit off white towards yellow.

After meticulous studies both of my eyes say it's blue.

Well, thanks for the resolution, ladies and gentlemen. MrsWookie will be cleaning the microwave and now no longer trusts here sense of color.
