Especially at the end when all the LAPD and LAFD were swarming the Hotel Marque and surrounding area, why didn't she scream at them for help and say he's a wanted man from a recent bank robbery? She really let the thought of money, and art studios, and an eternity of Robert De Niro's sweet nothings get the best of her. Speculate on what her outcome was. 2 years in a correctional facility imo.

I did a lot of work for this movie, and a very controversial set of deleted scenes was deleted from the DVD release. So, it was deleted deleted scenes that were actually an alternate ending. In the scene:

Spoiler:
Robert DeNiro's girlfriend kills him and commits suicide. They then cut to a scene where Pacino's character finds out. He yells, "What the f***???", takes out a piece of chewing gum, and throws the wrapper against a wall. In the final scene in the alternate ending, we see Pacino's character lying in a bath in a 3/4 close up, and he says, "Ain't nothin' like a good warm bath." The camera then tracks out and we see that he has slit his wrists with the same razor blade Natalie Portman's character attempted to commit suicide with. It cuts to black, and credits roll.

I may have forgotten a few of the details in the alternate ending, because this work was done close to 10 years ago. It must have been a last minute decision to cut the alternate ending from the release, because we did deliver it.

Speculate on her sentence for killing De Niro. 5 years (a short sentence due to the ptsd.)

Her sentence was:

Spoiler:
The death penalty. She committed suicide after, due to the waste her life would become, and really had become.

I can see why that was a deleted deleted scene, that is about the most absurd and ridiculous ending I could ever imagine. And they spent money on actually filming those scenes?

You were gonna say that Eady was greedy and was later sent to a correctional facility?

Confirmed.

Biggest question is how much coke Al Pacino did during the making of that movie?

Seems like a good place for a random Heat story. There was a BJ dealer at the Mirage named Rudy in the late 90's that really knew guns. He claimed another gun buddy of his who knew Rudy had a Sig Sauer for sale asked him to come to the "downtown range" after hours as he had discrete buyer for the gun. Rudy showed up and to his shock there was Robert DeNiro standing there. They shot a few rounds out of it and Rudy claimed DeNiro was super nervous while the firing was going on. Went on to claim DeNiro used that gun in Heat...

I still think the initial knocking off of the armored truck is one the most impactful and well shot action scenes of all time.

I kinda doubt they'd use a real gun randomly purchased by an actor in a major Hollywood production.

Yeah I have no idea but I could see them decommissioning them rather than trying to make replicas.

Hollywood has guys called "Armorers". They're professionals and deal with all the weapons. NFW they'd ever agree to use some random gun, nor would they need to (they have every weapon you can imagine).

It is possible, however, that de Niro asked that his character use a Sig and they provided on of their own.

Not him, I swear. Since nothing else makes sense, brain asplode? In all the publicity the movie's getting these days, I'd never read or heard anyone refer to Eady as greedy. Thought it was important enough to warrant a thread.

What publicity is it getting? We're getting pretty close to a 20th anniversary, which might bring more work for me. I can only hope.
