Somehow I've always hated spinach, I don't know. Somehow just the smell triggers revulsion, probably an old memory.

Yeah filthy, low carb is where it's at, I'm with you.
Raw spinach or cooked spinach? Cause i had a similar aversion to it but realized i just didnt really like cooked spinach. Raw spinach basically tastes like lettuce to me so i add it to sandwiches when i can

Originally it was cooked but it sorta bleed over to the raw spinach. I'll give it another try here soon. I've taught myself to like more fish for instance.

What kind of fish do you like, kioshk, and how do you prepare it?

Tuna, salmon, and sardines I've been eating a lot of lately. And I just tried smoking herring which was amazing. Smoked herring I mean I don't smoke it myself. I don't do much preparing I just mix it with a little mayo and some chopped up pickles, sometimes a boiled egg.

I've had smoked herring before. It was pretty good. Never tried sardines though. yuck.

Ok I apologize if I've already asked this question before (I tend to do that) but what is a good kind of fish to put on a bagel with cream cheese besides the obvious smoked salmon? When I was a kid my dad always had some type of white fish in his fridge that we would eat with bagels, and I just loved it. I sure would like to know what it was.

if i don't have a list i always end up about to cook something and being out of an ingredient

Freaking drug cartels are jacking Mexican limes.
that's a huge ripoff. i pay $1 for 8-12 limes at the mexican supermarket depending on their freshness.

lemons on the other hand, they're always pricey. wonder why this is.

Mrs. Drummin and I are members of two CSAs this season (meat/eggs and fruit/veg). Pretty great deal considering both the quantity and quality of food we're getting. I'm also building a couple of raised garden beds in the back yard to grow some of our favorites that we might not get enough of from the CSA. I basically hope to never buy food from a grocery store ever again.

We switch between coconut oil and bacon fat for cooking. Usually coconut for vegetables and bacon fat for meats/eggs. Mrs. D. read somewhere that cooking with olive oil removes the oil's nutritious properties, so that stopped. But we still use it to dress salads and stuff.

Growing stuff I should do and could if I wanted. Growing food is like a miracle. My parents do a lot of that as I often talk about in pog. That's like how life should be.

Nothing beats homegrown tomatoes.

OK wtf is up with lime prices? I posted ^ a a week ago then I ran out of limes tonight so went to my normal supermercados to stock up. One place had decent limes for 2/$1.00. I thought that was pricy so I went to the other spot and it was $.69/each and they were tiny/old.

It might be because they're being used so often on hot wings these days. Or possibly weather.
