Re: Greatest Curse Words

Here is a ranking of swear words by severity, from a British source I believe. http://digg.com/newsbar/topnews/Rank...ds_by_severity

**** and mother****er led the pack, but "wanker" is in at #4, ahead of ******.

Re: Greatest Curse Words

I have a deep fondness for the word ****** (rhymes with maggot). Not in the pejorative anti-homosexual sense, but just as an expletive and word. I think it's the best sounding curse word. You have the primary fricative f, with the violent expulsion of air, followed by the glottal hard g sound, and then the t at the end which expels more air and also seals off the word. Very satisfying word to say loudly in your car alone when someone cuts you off in traffic, for example.

I see what you are doing!

My dad had quite the potty mouth when I was growing up and he has zero patience when dealing with tools and fixing things. "Ohhh you c0cksucker" was his go-to phrase when he couldn't finish the last 8 rotations of a screw or whatever.

One day my brother was like 7 and we were with my mom and he blurted out "ohhh you cut sucker!" I was 5 and I guess we didn't know the word c0ck so we thought he was saying cut. Anyway my mom was like "WHAT? Who taught you that!?" "That's what dad says when he's fixing something - ohhhh you cut sucker!"

HAHAAHA. I think he stopped cussing in front of us after that. At least until we got a bit older.

The funny thing is I have my dad's identical disposition and lack of patience. I was hanging a valance last week screwing a screw into the wall that inexplicably stopped and I was like "oh you mother****ing c0cksucker! **** YOU you piece of ****!" while my wife was laughing hysterically. She has seen my dad do the same. Screw finally got in the wall and I was like "Yeah **** you wall, I'll **** you up you c0cksucker."

For this reason my wife usually demands to fix things, but in this case I didn't want her standing up on a foot stool whilst 7 months pregnant.

You ****ing ****. (Hardly needs saying, but replace with "****ing penis" if you're in polite company.)

Re: Greatest Curse Words

I have recently spent some time in New Zealand and picked up a new one "good c***" here it is used in context taken from Urban dictionary.

1.Someone who is considered by his peers to be of a good nature.
2.Someone who performs a selfless act which benefits those around him
1.Twanny rooted Shady up the ass. What a good c***.
2.Taylor: Dane bought me some beers
Antonio: Good C***
