I was young and lived in Rome during the period of these films and it has always seemed to me (then and now) that something special was in the air, almost tangible and Antonioni's trilogy captures that.
Most of the really good one's have already been named- Star Wars, Bourne, etc. One not named is the Captain America trilogy which has been really really good imo. Def the best of the new Marvel series. Iron Man pretty good as well. Idk how you'd break up the Harry Potter series but 3-5 (Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix) is definitely the peak of the series and deserves mention.

Reason: yes I'm a nerd :/
Sanjuro and Yojimbo didnt quite make it to three...
I don't have an issue with calling Leone's man with no name a trilogy even though the movies are only loosely related with TGTBTU being the foundational/prequel to FFOD and FAFDM.
I'll reserve judgement on the M Nights possible super hero trilogy until another film comes out, but the first two are great and he's on his way to an awesome series of movies.
I am a huge Alien realm fanboi... and while I do love Fincher's bookend to the original three ripley movies, this storyline continues to grow.
1. Star Wars original trilogy - don't care that they made 8 other films later, I think this stands fine as it was certainly a complete story on its own. Also was awesome pew pew pew
Dollars trilogy, Mariachi, BTTF, Toy Story, Nolan Batman were all pretty good for me. I'm not much of a LOTR fan but I did think that was executed very well and understand why some people would place that high. But SW the clear GOAT for me
I don't know about some of these more loosely defined trilogies though, that's a bit of a stretch
