Took the Central/Mountain test yesterday night. Had also gotten a look at the entire Tuesday night Eastern test, which I think was much harder than mine. Nonetheless, I probably answered about anywhere from 10-20 out of 50 correctly, knowing probably 8 or 9 of them immediately.

Honestly, it's a poor format to test people with. 15 seconds is not enough to assess the category, read the clue, think about it, and type in your answer (people will probably think I'm crazy, because this is seemingly even more time than we're giving on the actual show). It's much easier to actually play the show than it is to take this test, because you can get in a rhythm knowing what the category is.

It is a necessary evil they give us so little time because they are afraid of Googlers. I took the first test, and it was hard. The second test was a lot easier.

I believe the answer is "somewhere to stand"

He was referring to the fact that he could use a lever if he could stand far enough away to get enuogh leverage.

I read this out to my blind step father today missed no more than 5 but I know I misspelled a few other answers due to time constraints from reading it out to him and him having to answer and me type. They said spelling isnt necessary but still worried me a bit. The guy is a walking encyclopedia and missed a couple due to me not realizing and conveying the rhyming clues. There was one pop culture question and one sport question he didnt know or 48/50 more than likely.

Honestly what is the point of this when you are the one who will have to be standing up on the stage answering questions, and your dumbass doesn't know any of them.

His blind stepfather is going to go on Jeopardy? I mean I know Alex reads the questions and all, but it has to be a huge advantage to quickly skim the question before Alex finishes reading and to have your buzzer ready in hand.

There have been blind contestants before. IIRC, there was a blind five-time champion (back in the era where 5 was the max # of appearances).

Seriously? Well then I stand corrected. Just seems like it would be extremely difficult to me. Also the way he phrased his post made it sound like he just wanted his genius step father to answer questions for him.
