It's a bigger hit than American Idol!

Seriously, 99% of Americans don't even know it exists.

it's on PBS...for most Americans, that's the "channel that has Seseme Street on it."

Cora: "Are we to be friends then?"
Lady Grantham: "We are allies, my dear, which can be a good deal more effective."

Lady Grantham: "You are quite wonderful the way you see room for improvement wherever you look. I never knew such reforming zeal."
Mrs. Crawley: "I take that as a compliment."
Lady Grantham: "I must've said it wrong."

I'm not too sure what in the world is going on with this show now....the first season was excellent. The 2nd season is a ridiculous soap opera. Now we have a guy with amnesia and burnt over his face who is claiming to be heir? Give me a break.

I literally was lent season 1 today on DVD and told that I would probably enjoy this series. Looking forward to popping this in the DVD player soon.

I know, it's pretty ridiculous. Plus, our hero is now unable to satisfy the women? What's going on here? Also, they have reduced Edyth to standing in the background fetching books for wounded soldiers. The writers need to step it up. All of the sisters are a little bit boring to me!

haha that's great. I liked the description of the old lady that looks like a chicken. She does have some pretty sick burns. You should be watching the show with us, mrbaseball.

Are people in this thread finished watching second season and X-mas special? Or are you guys following on PBS? I'll hold off with the spoiler stuff, until it finishes on PBS, but I liked it til the end, don't give up watching it.
