Edward Everett Norton, Damn I forgot that I wanted to draft him. What reminded me finally was the notice that one of the voices for the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon kicked the bucket. Some woman. Edward Everett Norton did the voice over for the Fractured Fairy Tales for the same show. He was a great unique voice.

For Round 7 7/8, I present Edward Everett Norton:

Yes! That's exactly what it feels like to me, too. Glad you like it! Check out the Blue Nile album "Hats," too.

Been listening to that as well. Hard to believe, I know, but some think me too melancholy. Best Voice Draft Thread!

Sitting in McCarren listening to Wayne Newton, wondering how I missed him...

Missing Wayne Newton is almost as wise as missing Dennis Day. I'm glad you did. I would have shot you for ruining the draft. Serendipity saves many people from embarrassments.

I've spent some interesting time at McCarren airport. Not profitable in a material way but fun and useful - a great people watching airport to relax in. A marvelous place to see the ever hopeful pile in and the sour dejected people slink out.

Dennis Day???

My mother absolutely loved Dennis Day, but I think she was more impressed with his looks than his voice. I guess there really is no explaining tastes.

Nice one, Zeno. What a joy it was to discover the voice of Fractured Fairy Tales turned out to be an actor, especially in Fred Astaire movies.

Some great voices in Fred Astaire movies. Eric Blore, who played a thousand butlers, was very distinctive. And what I delude myself into believing is fluency in Italian is due not only to Chico Marx, but also to Erik Rhodes.

For round 2.1, I pick another favorite from my childhood, Eydie Gorme. I don't think I've really listened to her in 50 years, but she still sounds great.

Anyone consider Axl Rose? I read that technically he has a tremendous voice.

Did Iz really not get picked? I searched the thread and the spreadsheet, but couldn't find him. Strange.

Never heard of Birdy...she's great. And I love Karen O and Chvrches, too...seen them both in concert in Vegas. Bogie would've been a great pick.

But I will never understand Biggie. Just don't get at and he does nothing for me at all. But then, I'm a 54 year old white guy.

Yeah Birdy's awesome. She has some of her own material now but I like her covers the best.
