haha, maybe. I shouldn't really be throwing stones about list threads. I've started a few here.
A list thread draft sounds pretty good, though.

Re: Best TV series out atm
The best show currently in season is Justified, followed by Parks and Recreation, Community and Modern Family. Including shows that are on break but will return, Mad Men and Breaking Bad are two of the top-four shows of all time. Then there's Boardwalk Empire, Curb Your Enthusiasm and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Archer is such a sick show, gotta second that one. I cant decide if Spartacus is actually good or just so titillating I want to watch more, but I keep wanting to watch it so it cant be that bad.

Spartacus starts off slow for the first 2-4 episodes, but it starts to steam roll and just start firing on all cylinders to a great great show. Dialog is great and the plots and schemes are pretty f'n great.

I've heard good things about it and have watched the first couple of episodes. From what I've seen it looks promising.

Re: Best TV series out atm
Community is excellent. One of the few shows I actually LOL at.
Big Bang Theory is also excellent. I wonder if it plays best to those with backgrounds similar to the characters (aka nerds), but then I see folks (aka uber-nerds) on here dissing the show and reconsider that stance. Perhaps it has to do with Freud's theory of the uncanny.

Re: Best TV series out atm
I don't know why nerds would like it. It represents itself as an intellectual comedy but is more akin to Two and a Half Men in terms of it's jokes/formula then 30 Rock or Community. It's not a "smart" or "nerdy" show and it's not written terribly well. It skews old (like just about everything on CBS), my parents love it.

This is exactly right, well put. It's very much a throwback sitcom in style. Reminds me off an 80's sitcom, and not a particularly good one.
