Just watched The Sheik a documentary about the wrester the Iron Sheik and it was very good. If you watched any wrestling in the 80's you know about this guy and it's a fascinating story and character.

I'm halfway through Daredevil. It's awesome.

My wife and I watched season 1 of Borgia a few years ago and really enjoyed it. When we discovered we were watching the "wrong show" (we were supposed to watch the Showtime series "Borgias") we stopped watching, but it was a good show.

You really enjoyed it, yet stopped? Wrong show? You were 'supposed' to watch the other one? Alrightty then.....I'll bite. How is the Showtime version?

Started Lilyhammer yesterday. Enjoying it. Not elite, not by a long shot, but entertaining enough.

Only watched episode one, but it's pretty damn good. He's more Dread Pirate Roberts than Daredevil
I'm enjoying this a lot, but man he'd better get some kind of cool superhero outfit soon. I"m like five episodes in and he's still running around with that lame Dread Pirate look.

Should a blind superhero care what his outfit looks like?

Why not?

He dresses well and grooms himself nicely for his lawyer role.

My wife was taking a renaissance class for fun. And they suggested watching Borgias in that class. We found Borgia on Netflix and thought that was the show that was recommended to her. We enjoyed it quite a bit, but when my wife found out the mistake she lost interest. She used the excuse that the show was a bit too violent. We tried one episode of Borgias and didn't enjoy it that much (it moved much faster than Borgia). I think eventually I'll go back to Borgia, I really liked the first season.

Fair enough. Just seemed so odd to me that you'd stop like that. A few episodes into the 2nd season and loving it. Show is so well done imo.

Best doc on Netflix right now is Super Mensch, directed by Mike Meyers, about legendary entertainment manager Shep Gordon. This is the most entertaining movie I've seen this year. Immediately hilarious and I couldn't stop watching it. Fantastic.

Been thinking about that one.

I've been watching Planet Earth. Don't expect it to top PE for me, but to each his own on that. I love the nature docs.

You have to have a cool costume if you're gonna be a superhero, that's like the first rule of superheroing. Otherwise, you're just an ******* who beats up bad guys.

Just finished Season 7 of the Office. Not as great as some, but still very, very watchable, and I'll keep going, even though Carrell left at the end of this one. Have really grown to like Erin's character.

Wasn't a fan of Will Ferrell as the new manager, so glad that's over. I'm hoping the insane James Spader takes over (don't spoil it for me, I want to be surprised)

Mentioning Leon made me remember I watched 'Lucy' during an international flight last week...Besson pretty much phoned that one in.

That also made me go to IMDB and reminded me of his history of writing/directing/producing some pretty good movies. Léon and Nikita were exceptional for the era in which they were released.

Which in turn got me thinking about other French directors and made me wonder why Caro and Jeunet fell off a cliff after Amélie in 2001. I still think 'Delicatessen' has some of the best opening credits I've seen.

Jeff Bridges was great in The Last Picture Show and hasn't slowed down since.

He released an album that was a bit of a speed bump. I can't find it on YouTube but "She Lay Her Whip Down" has to be heard.

Love Jeff Bridges, though. I remember some critic writing that Chris Cooper was the next JB around the time of Adaptation, and that thinking we're not done with the current JB yet.
