The Imitation Game is just like The Artist and The King's Speech. A crowd pleaser with terrific performances. It's paint by numbers with few risks. It's well made but will be forgotten by April.

Haven't seen it yet, but the Turing story is just fascinating, so I can't imagine not at least being entertaining.

I try to see movies that are regarded as good, but these are all movies haven't been able to motivate myself to see despite two of them being on Netflix. I know I'd like them and I'd probably even shed a tear or something, but still they just don't seem compelling at all.

I've been meaning to set aside the time to watch past BP and Best Actor/Actress winners, but find myself watching Archer repeats and documentaries about organized crime instead.

The King's speech is amazing. I felt moved to add that.

It's a very entertaining film indeed. Many major aspects of Turing's life are glanced over. It's not really a biopic, mostly a retelling of a story featuring a major historical figure.

This would be my top 10. Sorry if not all 2014 officially. Top 3 are top 3 for sure. Besides that, I could rank them differently in a week.

1. Whiplash
2. Boyhood
3. Chef
4. Gone Girl
5. Interstellar
6. Guardians of the Galaxy
7. Afflicted
8. Begin Again
9. Locke
10. Blue Ruin
