Of course we all love the 1980s. Ronald Reagan shook off the malaise of the 70s and brought the Evil Empire to its knees, a kid named Tom Cruise dominated the movies, MTV showed us all the crazy videos, the Berlin Wall fell, people played video games and started buying computers for their homes, etc.

Here is a 1980s themed jigsaw puzzle I just finished: http://www.whitemountainpuzzles.com/...uctinfo/868PZ/

I think I was able to recognize all these events, fads, cultural icons... except for one photo. If you look in the lower center, you'll see Sam Malone serving up a cold brew right next to evil JR Ewing. But who is that dude in the suit and tie between them? I don't recognize him!

Two women I'm a little iffy on too, the little one between Marty McFly and Madonna's boob and also the hot brunette standing by the Frogger machine on the other side of JR. My best guess is Sheena Easton for the former and Marlee Matlin for the latter, but I'm not positive.

Whaddya think, Lounge Lizards? Y'all recognize any of these people? Did you thrive in the 1980s and now try to relive them by listening to The Cars and Duran Duran nonstop? Make yourself heard!

Just had a thought that instead of Sheena Easton, the top girl might be Vanessa Williams, the defrocked Miss America.

oh, it's the chick who shot JR, cool.

Maybe the top chick is Rosanna Arquette then, to go with Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan.

Dude in suit I was thinking looks like one of the Menendez brothers but wouldn't there be two? So must be someone else.

What's annoying is how bad the artist is...half of them aren't really recognizable.

George Michael's death got me thinking he probably deserved to be included somewhere in this. He was huge back in the 80s.

Listening to Blamange "games above my head" in honor of this thread.

So classic.

Nixon made a comeback in the 80's. International statesman and all that.

Still, in a decade that HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS and Men at Work and Loverboy hit the charts you start to understand that music pegged the vomit meter, whatever else may have happened. I measure my personal happiness by the distance I am from that loathsome decade. But that is a personal matter; it does not apply across the board and is not intended so. Still, it wise to continually move forward: Don't Look Back..............

80s music was awesome overall. Zeno, I think you're often kinda funny with your cranky contrarian stuff, but you're also wrong like 65% of the time.

I'm wrong only about 10%* of the time my old friend. I'm right up there with Nixon and Machiavelli - and that's heady company.

Happy New Year**.

*Ignoring my dismal spelling and sloppy grammar habits; while paying strict attention to all my footnotes.

**Western Calendar New Year of course.

Looks like Bobby from Dallas as well. Member, he died, but then that whole season was a dream Sue-Ellen had.

Dear Experts,

There are several I'm not getting, but have guesses for. Starting at top left and kinda working clockwise-ish:

  1. CNN guy... no idea.
  2. Male singer below Mandela, next to Walkman... Rick Springfield?
  3. Chick who's real happy to be on Patrick Swayze's junk... Irene Cara?
  4. Guy in hat below Kevin Bacon's crotch... Whatshisface from Full Metal Jacket?
  5. Chick w/ American flag grinding on Kevin Bacon's crotch... Christa McAullife? If so why have her twice (bottom right)?
  6. Three guys looking super cool next to the chick w/ American flag who is grinding on Kevin Bacon's crotch... The Outsiders?
  7. Guy between Luke Skywalker and Greg Louganis... no idea.
  8. Guy above Prince -- is that supposed to be Bill Murray in Caddyshack?
  9. Guys in court below Prince... Menendez brothers?
  10. Whitebread couple under Dynasty clan... no idea.
  11. Skinny chick in red shirt next to Who's the Boss?... Juliette Lewis?
  12. High-school yearbook photo behind Ted Danson... no idea.
  13. Yellow body suit under MTV... some speed skater?
  14. Mugshots: first next to MTV (b&w)... Timothy McVeigh?; second above Trump... no idea.
  15. Between Reagan and Geraldine... no idea.
  16. People in a plane (?) under Reagan... no idea.
  17. Guy standing by plane under Springsteen's butt... MacGyver?
