Folks:

Our site has been posted on a few high profile forums with members that like to cause mischief and harass people. Consequently, a few of our mods and members have been contacted via email and IM by kids that want to cause grief. They are basically getting into verbal arguments and trying to trick us into viewing porn, etc.

It is important that you, the community, be alert. Please, please, please if you don't have anything nice to say to them do not chat back at all. If you can't find any common ground then your ability to speak truth will be handicapped. And it's better to just ignore/block and carry on with your business.

Also, be careful not to get phished. If you get an email from TAP (like a PM alert or something) and you follow it, then it asks you to login... CHECK THE ADDRESS. Always check the address before logging in. Phishers try and trick you into logging into a fake version of TAP so they can capture your username and password. Look it up on wikipedia.

As a personal rule I don't evangelize to people unless I feel some sort of compassion for them. This means if I am not feeling compassionate... I don't evangelize. I know I will do more harm than good. Some Christians think they are best equipped to be "God's righteous anger." They think that hostile debate glorifies God. I never want to be God's righteous anger. EVER. It is my opinion that the only time, as a Christian, you are in the right frame of mind to be God's righteous anger is when in your heart of hearts you're cool with God's righteous anger being directed at you. Count me out on that one. I'm no hypocrite.

i've tried this method before but a lot of the time i end up finishing off because i dont stop in time. plus, i know it is still wrong anyway.
