UPDATE

Sometime after the last post in this thread, I deleted both Tinder accounts. A few days ago, I started back on Tinder... I found One again.

Tinder now has a "Super Like" option. This will like the person you are looking at, and it will notify the person that you liked them.

What's our play in this situation? Should I like One? Should I Super Like One?

Who is this One person, are you sure you're spelling his name right? Maybe it's Juan?

My strategy for the past week or so has been to create a new Tinder account at 10 pm or so. Find One, Like One, then wait till midnight or so.

I'll then delete my account and try again the next day.

I feel like this increases my chances.

You should up your stalking game. Set up a coffee date with the fake profile, then show up at the same spot and hang around near her in the shop. When she thinks she's been stood up, find some excuse to talk to her and be her sympathy date.

Then roofie her coffee.

Wait, what?

Hello Friends,

I have found out via Instagram, that One has a SnapChat account. How does one play this? I would like to add One to my SnapChat friends, but it only shows me the option to invite One to SnapChat, not to add One as a friend. I have typed in several usernames I would imagine One would have, but my attempts to find One have been futile thus far.

It sounds like you need to take a 1/2 nl buy in and head over the the backpage "escorts" section.

After that maybe some therapy?

Hello Friends,

Lately I have been getting back into Tinder game. However I have noticed a couple of problems:

On my fake profile, it shows One as being constantly 27 miles away. This seems odd to me considering One lives 23 miles away. Does anybody know how Tinder calculates distance? Does it calculate based on driving distance or is it the straight line between the two places on the map? How often does it update? Does it update every time One opens the app, or does it update even if One is not in the app?

Another issue I have is it seems like I rarely see One using my regular Tinder profile. While noticing this, I have also noticed I rarely see other people I know. It used to be I would see several Facebook friends when I would spend nights browsing.

Good Evening Friends,

I wanted to post an update to the above problem I was having. I noticed One was posting pictures to Instagram that I incorrectly assumed were from SnapChat. Recently I noticed that the pictures were not from SnapChat, but instead from Instagram. This makes me feel a lot better, because I was beginning to think One was trying to block me from seeing one's SnapChat.

UPDATE:

Hello Friends,

Well 2 months ago, I started noticing One had begun posting selfies with another person on Instagram. I could tell that One may have fallen for somebody else and likewise I no longer found One on Tinder.

However, last week after a long period of time since One had posted picture of this other person, I found One was on Tinder once again! I am back in the game!

Now I need to figure out what my plan should be. How can I make One, mine?

Confront. WHY would you spend time obsessing on someone without taking DIRECT action "to find out where you are at in the hand". Geez, Interpersonal communications 101.

Hello Spew,

My problem is what I should my initial move be to confront One. What do I say to One? What do I ask One? This is primarily the reason I have tried to keep the confrontation in the Tinder.

Do you know for a fact that One has the same view of the world that you have? If not, you REALLY need to move on.

If you believe so,,,, just send a sincere note with an offer to meet up at One's nearest Starbucks...your treat. Within ten minutes...the future path will present itself.

Cmon O,,,, gimmick or not,,, this is not rocket science. Direct approach, but as relatively as low-key, no-pressure as possible. But get to it.

Think of it this way: IF One is the one, then WHY are you wasting time when there are thousands of other Ones running around this spinning rock?

hmmm.. What vehicle do you propose I send this note in? Should it be an email? Should it be a Facebook message? A text? I do see a lot of value in this method; however, there is still some issue at play that I need to consider.

geez, cmon, again, this is NOT rocket science.

Which is the most un-creepy? How did you "find" One?

If you were trolling the interwebs and found One on tinder, use that, say that.
If you were trolling the interwebs and found One on FB, use that, say that.

"Not sure how I found myself on your page... probably through browsing (mindlessly cruising) friend's friends. Anyhow, I looked at your profile and think we have _____ in common. I'm from ______; let's meet at Starbucks in (One's hometown) my treat. Next Friday after work OK?"

Text is kinda not important. What is important is that you not get too wordy. Short, sweet, to the point. Starbucks is where you do your direct selling. AND I would keep it that way if possible is asked followup questions.

And.... so what if you get shot down. Take your shot. If it fails, move on. Too many fish in the sea that would like to hang out with a troll.
