this got me thinking about how i've never eaten a gerbil. in fact, the most exotic thing i've ever managed to scoff down was racoon-meat and that was only a bite because i lost a dumb bet.

not to derail the thread, but what is the most exotic thing any of you have eaten? my father often attends game-dinners and eats some wierd stuff, but i don't think i'd ever have the stomach for it.

Well, since fits in the topic of food, I don't think it can be considered a derailment.

I've had both frogs legs and escargot, which aren't that exotic but are probably more adventurous than the average American diner.

A man of his wealth and erudition is too busy focusing on matters that are critical to the condition of the world, such as bragging about his ability to break arms and beat uNL, to put any time or effort into coming up with examples that aren't ******ed.

i've heard escargot is an afrodisiac. what was the occasion for eating it? I remember my cousin saying he had it on his honeymoon somewhere in france and know that it's served in many modern cafes.

Some old told you a damn, dirty lie. The occasion was a random dinner at a restaurant in Belgium. They were on the menu, I decided to try them, mostly because my dinner companion liked to heckle me for never trying anything new.

They were pretty nasty IMO. The original taste was sort of gamey/meaty, but then there was this horrid bitter aftertaste that I can only describe as "aquatic" that made me want to hurl.

Hey, all women's sex drives go up in their early 30s. It's biological. I'm being driven to rut and produce offspring.

All of your points have already been addressed on 2+2 in multiple threads. There are good arguments from both sides and you're not as smart as you think you are ect...

As for bottled water, it's a huge scam. Tap water is regulated by the EPA. They have more people inspecting the water. Bottled water averages less than one regulator per company. Still, In New Jersey for example, tap water tastes like eggs. It won't hurt you to drink it but I can understand why they would prefer to buy it in the store.

That's a line that is very blurred when it comes to clams and oysters.
