Question from recent irl conversation:

A couple, male 6'-210lb, female 5'2"-110lb get into a raging argument.

At some point during that argument one of the following happens:

A) female says to male: "If you don't leave me alone, I'm going to punch you in your stupid face."
B) male says to female: "If you don't leave me alone, I'm going to punch you in your stupid face"

Are these statements-though both abusive-- equally wrong? Does it matter in judging how wrong that the male would obliterate the female in an actual physical altercation?

What if:
C) She actually punched him in the face full force.
D) He actually punched her in the face full force.

Still equally wrong?

I honestly don't know where I land on this one. Curious what men think.

The more damage you're gonna do the more wrong it is to punch someone

Also the threat of hitting someone is bigger coming from a strong person than from a weak one so B) is also more wrong

For the male to say: "I'm gonna hit you just as hard as you hit me" would be equally wrong

anyone who threatens violence to get the upper hand in an argument is a complete muppet.

It is more wrong for the woman to punch the man in the face because that would be an assault on our proud patriarchal history that allowed men to punch women in the face with impunity. It's about tradition. And violence. And men being *******s.

i won't tell you MY opinion on it, though i can tell you the stance of Australia as a country?

this wouldn't even make the national news coverage, even if they guy stood there and took the video on his phone.

D) He actually punched her in the face full force.
this guy would get ****ED IN THE ASS.

by that I mean, these things will happen.

1) whoever the **** is around would bash the **** out of him in some white knight attempt. ( he would be in hospital a week)

2) whether there is video or not, he would be charged and sent to jail for 4+ years ( even if the women is coming at him with a knife)

3) the femos would NEVER let him forget this and his name would be google searchable by typing in " man hits women"

4) either the guy has to now move country just to get a job, OR he will kill himself because his life if over.

if a women comes at you, as a man, you should just stand there and take the hit. cos after all, you are a man and indestructible right?

who made you spokesperson for my opinion or anyone else in Australia, mmm nobody.

Typical kid who thinks his own opinion is what the whole country thinks. You haven't spoken to every single person in the country so until you do, you can just shut the **** up.

why ask a serious question itt

I think it is easy to say they are both equally wrong, even though socially it would be more wrong for the male to punch the female in the face, but that is horse**** imo

I think it comes down to physical dominance and not gender. If it was a 5'1'' 110lb dude getting smashed in the face by a 6' 200lb female shotputter, people may be inclined to feel bad for the dude, in more ways than 1.

I think the deciding factor is the person exerting an unfair physical dominance to their advantage is being more nefarious than the one retaliating in vain

question:

so my room is dusty as ****, I'm too lazy to clean it everyday. ( it would have to be a room sweep, where i take all the furniture out of it and I vac and wipe everything down.)

my friend just got an air purifier. I'm thinking of getting one too. would this solve my problem or not? also do you think it will filter out cig smoke? i do get a big whiff of it when my dad is back.

close your windows and doors. Tape up any openings so it is fully sealed. Cut a hole in the door. put vacuum cleaner hose in hole. Tape so it is sealed. Turn on vacuum to level 1000. Leave running for 17.4 minutes. Turn off vacuum. Open door (careful of the vacuum you created). Apologize to your mom/room mate for killing their cat by suffocation, because you forgot to check the room before hand. They will then offer to clean your room from then on to prevent you murdering innocent animals.

I'm allergic to dust, and use an air purifier. IT helps a little...but the best advice is to put all your junk away. Dusting a few flat surfaces more often is ez game.

yes. but my room is SO dusty that alone does not help. the room is 3MX2M~ and it's just covered in it.

It's annoying because, every time i would have to clean i would have to pull my bed out and vac under it.

it's SO dusty you can smell it and i have the window open most times.

I don't know what i can do about it. so I'm going to clean it and get the air purifier on blast. see if that does anything.
