I just watched the clip and read some of the comments, I don't see much actually being done there - just a little bit of looping, and definitely not all 7 CDJs being used for any real purpose.
I'm not sure what type of sync / quantizing technology the absolute top end CDJs and DJMs are capable of, but anyone trying to do 'trancey' style mixing with any sort of intro / outro mixing on decks will know that you need headphones. You can normalize all your track volumes / put them to the same BPM, but you still need headphones. The degree of human error with manually starting & lining up a track is too large - and things like non-perfect starting cues (I.e a track starting with a reverse crash that messes up auto-cue) only make that more difficult.
I don't care how long he's been mixing for, I don't believe any DJ can mix an entire set without headphones, there is no real life Frankie Wilde. The masses don't care as long as they have a high production party to attend, but I think its insulting to call it DJing.
