Early bird tickets went on sale for electric zoo 2012 for $179 and sold out in 2 minutes.... wtf. And $179 for tickets purchased a year early is a little bit steep imo. I'm kind of scared of pre-ordering for these kinds of festivals since the DJ mag top 100 were released because these promoters might just blindly invite these DJs in order of rank.
So I finally listened to the entire Gareth Emery 105 podcast where he plays live @ Circus in Montreal. Could that set be considered one of the best trance sets in the last few years? I think so, that set is a must listen to any trance fan.
Its one of my favorite sets in the recent years... Armin was playing some poor sets earlier in the year, but with Universal Religion 5 I think hes a bit more on track. Episode 528 was one of the better episodes I've heard in a long long time. Armin live at Space 09-07-2011 is a pretty good recent set from him as well.
DJ Mag results have never been very good, but as EDM becomes more and more mainstream they're going to become worse and worse with artists like Guetta and Skrillex that appeal to younger and more commercial crowds.
Great to see this track released quickly... its been a stormer of a year for Orjan.
LoL @ wannabe electro experts in this thread whining about guetta's first spot and saying "Armin Van worse trance(not) ever made" should be #1. Talking about bad mainstream commercial stuff, Armin is the best for sure. I'm not a guetta fan at all, just saying...
There's been lots of hate towards Markus Schulz in some forums but I just listened to his 2 hour live set at Marquee Club in Las Vegas and thought it was pretty solid. It wasn't 105 material but I know if I'd go to see him live I'd be happy with his track selection.

saw him for the 5th time this year on friday and he absolutely smashed it...for the 5th time.
Avicii's set from the Studio 54 opening in NYC earlier this month.
I don't think there was really anything new in there, but it was overall just a solid hour long set.
