Background info:

my friend is 21, pretty poor (grew up without a dad etc), and we party on new years and he gets really drunk. At the motel, he ends up breaking the tiles on the shower.. now when u think of motel, dont think of holiday inn.. think about a raelly really crappy motel.

So the next day, after seeing the damage, my friend wants to ditch before they catch us.. but my other friend paid by debit card and thinks the motel might have his name on it. No credit cards were used.

Now... Does anyone know if u can get away with this sorta thing at a motel.

I told my friend that u should at least try to get away with it... since if u tell the manager they're gonna make u pay for it anyways

So friend A (who breaks shower) doesnt wanna go to front desk
friend B(who paid by debit) wants to go to front desk to get friend A to pay for damages.

Is it bad that i side with friend A here? and was friend B wrong for forcing friend A to pay?

obvious answer is that you bail and if his card gets charged the friend who did the damage refunds him.

Hide some sort of live scrappy animal like a Badger under the covers of your bed. That way when they come in to clean the room BOOM Badger pops out ready to fight and they have bigger problems to deal with. Not to mention if they ask you about the tiles you can just tell them that the badger did it. If they ask how, tell them you invited the badger in to have a couple drinks he got unruly so you split and have no clue what he did in his drunken badger rage.

lolz. this wont work cause they will see what you did. call motel manager to room and when he gets there offer him a nice cola or something, only stick a whole bunch of poison in the drink. then, as he or she is dying , go to office and remove all evidence, after this burn office and hotel room to destroy latent evidence. good luck

OP, since you judge people for being poor, you should pay for the damages.

1. Go to reception
2. Say you fell in the shower
3. ...........
4. Threat suing the motel
5. Get away with it ldo.

The card will get charged. Get pics so you only get charged for a few tiles, not for redoing the whole tub.

Btw, your friend must be a hell of an ass to break tiles in the shower. You don't do that by accident, not in a hundred years. If anyone deserves to pay, it's him.
