I'm really hating this new trend towards answers that aren't.

What girls let guys get away with is too much laziness, that can manifest itself in a lot of ways from not helping around the house to not making plans to ever take her out. Girls let guys be waaay to lazy in the relationship way too often.

The part about my sister is just sort of an anecdotal comment that my sister wouldn't let **** like that fly, afaict.

Let's go with the problems with women first:

Firstly, most of you are way neurotic/paranoid/jealous. This is fine, but don't lie about it or act like you're not when it's obvious you are.

Secondly, if you want to date the bad/lazy/<insert bad trait here> guy, don't bitch about him. You know what you got into when you got into it. If you wanted the boring, nice guy, you'd be with him.

Thirdly, the vast majority of women nowadays are very weak-minded/willed. They say they "Oh He won't do that again, or it's over, etc", but it never ends because you can't seem to even muster the thought of being without said guy or being with a guy. Like, being single/alone is the worst thing in the world. It's like you gals need a man to validate your existence.

That being said, the majority of guys know those three things and will prey off those, in order to get what they want or to manipulate you into whatever. You gals let us get away with that too much. That's my issue, thanks for listening.

So, I just got back from a relaxing and wonderful treat - I spent a few hours at the spa! This prompts my question:

On the spectrum of hippie granola chick to porn star look, how "done" do you like your women? Considering time, money, personality type that goes with each level - how much maintenance is enough/too much/not enough?

Level 1 - Hippie and/or butch= no make up, nails, hair removal, pro hair care of any kind

Level 5 - Girl next Door= does own body care/nails at home, the odd special occasion appointment, simple hair and make up

Level 10 - Porn Star look= fake hair, nails, lashes, tan, body art, waxed, full heavy make up, +++ appointments, time and money to maintain

I think I'm in the 6-7 range on this. I love to get skin care and feet done, but don't like all the fake stuff put on. Do love my lipgloss. Guys, what do you like?

I go for a 6ish, but I would take the porn star look, you know, if I HAD to.

Yah, I like the level 5-7 or so. Fake tanning is a turn off, but I'll take it if I have to.

I think women dont allow us to get away with anywhere near enough and should let us get away with more

I don't like stuff that makes a woman look or feel untouchable. Style is not that important. I'm not after the art. I want to touch your (among other things) hair, not be shooed away from it.

Also, that blends in to other stuff that makes a woman more fussy and less able to do ordinary things. I don't care for long fingernails and think they're not very hygenic either. If I have to choose between not kissing your cheek and smearing your make-up, I'd rather you didn't wear make-up at all.

I've known women who spend $300 a week on their nails. Some of them don't even have it to spare without the couple or whole family having to make sacrifices. Selfish, IMO. Trivial at best.

And like all these things, almost always far beside the point. If you want to look good, go to the gym or do exercise around the house, whatever works. Watch what you eat and stop snacking on garbage. A smile won't cost you a dime and it does amazing things for your looks and the mood of everyone around you, including yourself. Take care of yourself and keep a good spirit and you'll look good in anything.

Women who put too much effort into clothes and make-up often come off as vain and trivial to me, and likely to be brittle and pains in the arse.
