I'd talk to her before, and tell her that it is a big deal to you and why. In a non-demanding tone. Ask her to keep an open mind and try swallowing after you've made the dietary changes.

If that doesn't work, then I'd move on to discussing why it is that she is anti-facial. Maybe you're not careful enough to avoid eyes, maybe she's insecure and it feels too derogatory for her..w/e it is can be worked on, I'm sure.

Ok here is my serious (I know, wrong forum section) take on why some men (and women) get off on the whole facials thing:
