I spent two weeks in Asia a couple years back, and it was amazing. All sorts of culture and great life experiences, I ate something called simply a "fish ball" that made me violently ill, I tried to sneak legit news sources past the Chinese internet filter, I played ping pong in a public park, and climbed a ****ing mountain. But the greatest thing about the trip was watching the little 13 inch TV in the 300 square foot apartment I stayed in. Asian TV is the only reason why I don't worry too much about "The Rise of the East" tbh. I saw a great game show that consisted only of Chinese people spitting milk in each others' faces. So I think IBM should be ok for a while.
