If you tell him it's useless and that he's brain damaged, he may agree with you and decide to do something else with his time.

If you tell him "sounds interesting, how?" you could very easily direct him to the library to study functional democratic process, etc., which to someone sick in the head -- the act of being in public and working on an intellectual idea (reading books) is like a dream scenario.

yeah good idea, i usually just tell him to its my opinion that he is better off focusing his efforts elsewhere. i dont tell him he's delusional though its apparent to me.
