The entire point of "troll physics" is to use standard every day objects and put them in ridiculous situations to create impossible contraptions or concepts that we know would never work.

Using a portal gun (oh-so-standard every day object amirite?) to make water constantly drive a turbine creating a gravity-based perpetual motion machine is something that WOULD ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A QUESTION WORK... If portal guns existed. Which they don't.

If you look at the rest of the comics, they all use objects that exist. Except in cases like the "use a time machine" one, but in that case it's not the time machine that makes the joke, it's the magnet and metal apple. So people ignore the time machine part.

Making the portal gun an integral part of your troll just shows a lack of understanding as to how troll physics comics work.
