Damn, it's just ridic if you think about, that I'm going to ****ing to jail because the word of a cop is untouchable in court.

That, and some contradictory statements made at the very beginning, because no one ever thought about actually going to jail for that, just paying 86€ in fees and call it a day.

I'll come back to all the legal advice some of you might have, just not today.

This thread gives me an unstoppable desire to buy an M6, take out the engine and replace it by the my Hyundai Elantra engine.

On a more serious note: although I don't have a clue about the law in general and the law in Austria in particular, is it possibly that they look to impose heavy sentences as a deterrent effect? While I'm willing to believe that you guys were reasonably cautious, there are obviously groups of people who are less prudent, and they probably reason that only serious jail time might convince them to not do those things.

Anyway, maybe dangeraw is willing to do some pro bono work here.

Ok, I didn't wear a helmet that day. But I always do on the track, where I drive 85% of the time with that car. I dunno why, I should have. That's like the only real dumb and reckless thing I did.
That might sound dull, but I can control that car pretty well. Would say I can place the inside wheels in the corner within 5cm or 2inches with good tires.

That's a load of sh*t. 2.5 years for speeding? I mean you could have killed someone, but the point is that you didn't. I heard of a guy here in Colorado who had 4 DUI's and got probation for the fourth one. He spent one night in jail for each DUI.

What do they do there if you get caught speeding and drunk? Blow your head off? Stick bamboo slivers under your fingernails? Sheesh, what a crock.

So I never bought a RWD car because I'm scared to drive it in the snow.

I regularly see tons of BMW's in ditches on the side of the road in winter.

Any general tips for keeping control of your RWD car in the snow?
