While racing the police is one of the most awesome things I can imagine, I guess I wouldn't have the guts tho, because I don't want to go to prison.

Over here they don't need you to be caught in the act.

When they have a license plate, the owner of the car is responsible for that and if your child would steal the car and get into an accident, the car owner has some kind of contributory fault.

Happened before, a 15yr old drunk stole his parents car, drove over someone and killed her. The child got nothing because he was a minor, drunk and therefore not fully accountable.
His father did some prison time iirc tho, because he did hurt his legal responsibility to care for his child or some ********.

I guess its because they are in need for Austrian prisoners in Austria. From the statistics, only foreigners from certain East European countries are in our prisons and that doesn't really help the integration process overall.

Not to mention, extremely safe.

1. Going 180mph on the German Autobahn on a sector that has a speed limit of 60mph. Twice.

It's just a small sector (3 miles maybe) that interrupts a mile long non limited part of the Autobahn. I assume it's because of the noise, because you pass a small village on that sector.

2. Having semi-slicks on public roads in Austria. I was too ****ing lazy to change the wheels for one time and immediately ran into a standard control.

I drive within the speed limits 99% of the time. I never was speeding during day or in the city. That's rather boring with a car that does 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds if you can't drive it to its limits.

Also, that M3 CSL is my track toy mostly, I have another, way less powerful and more economic car for everyday use.

It's also no fun to drive that beast in the city because of the suspension.

I'd rather not right now. But I got some track videos and lots of pics. Maybe if I get a smuggled smartphone in prison.

I am a (European, but non-Austrian) lawyer myself and I am completely dumbfounded at your story. If you left nothing out etc., it's in my top ten for most effed up "justice" stories, to the extent that I have a hard time believing it.

And those 2.5y, are those really 2.5y or do you have an almost guaranteed/very good/reasonable chance to be released after like a couple of months (as it would probably be the case where I live)?

Anyway, I guess what you did was wrong no matter what, and I would be fine if they gave you a substantial fine and seized your car, but prison is absolutely idiotic.

Time to skip town guy. Lifetime on the run beats 2.5 years in prison. Less rape and a lot more exciting.
