any sort of weapon would make a huge amount of difference. For one I imagine it makes you scarier to the lion. Two, it would make more damage than your fist

People are underestimating the men. No lion is going to kill 15 or 20 men who are determined to get it. We're too smart, and too cunning. People are the most efficient team hunters in the world. Consider another pack hunter, such as wolves. How many wolves do you think it would take to bring down the lion? Whatever that number is, I would bet that it would take fewer men to do it.

Now some members of the group are going to die, of course, but regardless, the lion is going DOWN.

I think the real question is how many Kimbo Slices would it take to kill a lion... I'm going with 7

****** logic? if a lion is anything like a tiger, they can only eat a max of 75lbs of meat in a sitting. after that they dont have to eat for up to 4 days(ive been to a zoo ldo). cats in general sleep over half of the day, and male lions sleep over 15 hrs a day so its not like you wouldnt have some time on your hands, especially after he just ate. All it takes is for one guy to be eaten and if the rest of the guys just stay the **** out of the way its pretty damn easy for them to collect the picked off bones later(some of which would already be sharp, but it doesnt take much to break a bone into a point to use as a weapon).

Ok about a year or so ago there was a news story where an old man killed a lion barehanded that attacked him. Basically he stuck his arm down the lions throat and grabbed the tongue choking it to death. This was in a couple reputable news organizations unfortunately after a 10 min search on google I could not find the story. So the answer is 1.

I think it depends on the mentality of people. If they all agree to just attack and die if they have to, then maybe 8. If you just have a random cross of people and some will just try to run away, then 16.
