Also, I've palm punched(slapped?) a car window and shattered it, it took 3 tries iirc, but I wasn't trying to break it. I was just banging on the window to scare my dog out of the door, so I could get in without him taking off when I opened the door. I wasn't smart, obviously. Minor cuts on hand, about it.

you were trying to scare your dog OUT of the car so he wouldn't run OUT of the car when you got in?
