Re: Does anyone have a Secret clearance? (Jessica Biel butt cheeks inside)
I had a secret clearance in the Air Force reserves in the late 80s, simply for being my team's rep on the squadron advisory council (volunteered to kill a couple Sunday hours). Secretest thing I ever learned was that our deployment if teh war started would be:
friend of mine has secret clearance--she's an accountant. Her hubby is a captain in the army and she got the job as a private contractor. It's almost sad how many 'secret' files there are--and almost all of them unnessecarily so.
A friend of mine is a defense contractor doing stuff he can't talk about. At his company they like to hire engineers that already have their clearances. When they are forced to hire someone without the necessary clearances the new guy gets sent to the "leper colony" where all the new engineers waiting 6-12 months for their clearances to process sit around all day playing board games and other silly stuff but never any work while drawing full pay. No one outside the leper colony is allowed to interact with any of the lepers.
I live in the UK and had to sign the official secrets act and be security vetted when I helped install a new network at Government intelligence building. Have no idea if it had a time limitation on it though.
