When I was in high school, I used to sit a certain way so I could make my hand numb. Once it was numb, I would hold hands with myself and pretend it was someone else since I couldn't feel the other hand.

I know what it is to do this. Apart from I don't shout to an empty room, I just don't correct the pizza guy when he asks if me and my buddies are having a good night.
