4L Desert Island Draft Thread 2

Aight, here's the deal:
You're stranded on a desert island. You'll be there for the rest of your life. You'll be able to make shelter, drink water, & eat tasteless unappealing food for calories & sustenance. Due to my lack of caring about such things, you can also have a washing machine & general toiletries.
The island is a pretty boring place. A beach, some trees. No exciting waterfalls or caves or anything.
Above & beyond that, you will be able to have the following:
* One food. Cannot be prepared in different manners. Same way every time.
* One drink (with or without alcohol).
* One drug or alcohol or inspirational book.
* Three of the following: album, movie, book, season of a TV show, video game (cannot be played online), hobby item, or website [MERGE category].
* One sex partner. Cannot interact with sex partner other than for sex. Sex partner will always be available for sex & will always remain the same age.
* One buddy. May hang out with buddy for up to 2 hours a day. Can partake in any non-sexual activities that you have on your island.
* A pet or a car.
* One flex pick. This means that you can draft an extra of any other item on the list (e.g. you could have 2 foods or 4 merge items).
You will be able to acquire these items via this draft. When it is your turn you will be able to pick one thing from any of the categories, and no one else will be able to have this thing.
*If someone takes a food, no one else is able to take a food in the same category (i.e. if someone takes filet mignon, all steak is off the board, but beef products such as hamburgers & cheesesteaks are still available). The rulings on this will probably be more lenient than last time, cuz I don't feel like dealing with it.
*If someone takes a drink, no one else is able to take a drink in the same category (i.e. if someone takes pepsi, coke is off limits, but sprite is still available). Beer will be by brewer this time. Wine is split into red, white & champagne. All coffee falls under one category (espresso & capuccino are not separate).
*If someone takes an album by an artist/band, no one else can have another album by that artist/band.
*If someone takes a movie that is part of a series, no one else is able to take a movie from that series.
*If someone takes a book by an author, no one else is able to take a book by that author.
*If someone takes a season of a tv show, no one else is able to take another season of the same show.
*If someone takes a video game, no else is able to take another video game in the same series.
* A hobby item is an item, or set of items that would be likely to be included in the same box that one could use for their amusement.

All items can be used with other items. Last year you couldn't mix foods, or have 3somes, or what have you, but now you can. There are some overlap in categories, so please state which category you're drafting something for when you draft.
The draft includes 25 people, and the order has been selected at random using a random number generator. The person who picks 1st in the 1st round, picks last in the 2nd round, and vice versa (snake draft).
When making a selection, it is required that one includes pictures of whatever it is they are drafting, as well as a write-up which explains their selection. The write-up should be at least a couple sentences, and can be as long as one likes. The selections should be as specific as possible, and if they are too vague, one will be asked to clarify/specify. It is traditional to use spoilers on the various parts of your pick (i.e. for each picture, quote, whatever), but not necessary.
Here is an example from the SE thread which I believe shows a good amount of passion, even if one disagrees with the actual selection:

Once the draft starts, posters will have 1 hour from the time they are on the clock to make their pick. If they fail to make their pick within the 1 hour timeframe, the next person has 1 hour to pick. However, the person who was skipped has the opportunity to draft at any point, but if what they wanted was taken by someone whose draft selection was after them, they are out of luck. There will be no "deadzone" in the middle of the night because people keep very random hours & are in different time zones as it is. If you are not able to select when it's your turn, it is not a big deal, and you will be able to do so the next time you sign on.
If your pick was skipped one round, it will be automatically skipped (which means the next person does not have to wait before making their selection) if you have not made up that pick yet.
If one does not expect to be around at the time of their pick, they can PM their pick (and potentially back-up pick if their 1st choice is gone) & write-up to someone that will be around to post these for them.
For now I will make all rulings as to what is ruled out by various selections, but I might enlist the help of others depending on availability.
This thread is meant to be fun (despite the long azz wordy rules), and engender lotsa strategy & debate & such, but if someone signs up & does not participate, they will be infracted. This does not mean not being there when it's there turn, but rather not picking at all &/or not doing write-ups.

The 2nd round is the exact opposite of this.
You may note that the 24th spot is blank. Tapow was going to be in, but he dropped out earlier today. I liked the # 25, as it seems like a good balanced one, so I am taking one last entrant until the time of the 24th pick. If no one takes it, I will draft.
After you make your selection, you are required to PM the next person who drafts so that they are made aware that it is their turn in another way as well. This should serve to speed up the draft somewhat.
If you fail to comply you will be warned/infracted.
I'll do up a google spreadsheet soon, which should be kept fairly updated.
If everything goes smoothly, there will be a voting thread at the end where people will have the opportunity to explain why their island is the best. I make no guarantees, but the winning islander will probably be receiving an undertitle.
I understand this is long, & is kind of a mash up of last years rules & new additions, so just ask if you have any questions.
