what's with everyone saying to make the sunday 500 a 250, this is a tournament that was put their to begin with to cater to the high stakes players specifically. if you want a 200 buyin, just leave the million there to begin with. im not a fan of cutting the million and wu in half personally but i see why they're doing it, but to do the same in the sunday 500 makes no sense to me, you'd simply be replacing the sunday million buyin level and leaving the higher stakes/high rake paying players with a pile of crap tournaments to play on sunday.

1/2 price and double the tourneys woulda been cool .

There is obviously decreased value for most players (unless you think your ROI doubles because the buyin is reduced by half) but it is a good promotion/experience offered to smaller rolled players.

i think the idea behind having the s500 at half price would be so more fishies would shot take in the weeks that follow because they either cashed in it, liked the structure, liked playing with sickos, are degens, etc. fwiw, the half price promotion is a great idea and will ultimately benefit winning players in the long term.

For a promotional reasoning, it will keep its GTD, have a bigger pool of players (so, more weak players) and a better structured million type of tournament.

Lots of ppl will play it just because they would love to take a shot in the 's500' type of mtt.

There are many Sunday Majors which aren't included in Half Price Sunday.

(Rebuy, 500, Supersonic, 6-Max...)
