Re: WTF Stars?

This is only going down on June 17th, Not sure why this isn't a good thing. Its not like this is going to keep happening every Sunday.

He thought he would pay $107.50 and that would count towards a $215 buy-in both prize pool and rakeback/fpp wise, afaik.

this is not a promotion. it is a change in events. a promotion like CD is saying is if the buy in was 215 and we paid 107.50 so you get a 50% freeroll, obviously way out of reach and that would never happen but thats an example of a promotion. rake free sunday would be a promotion.

what youve done is make it possible for small stakes grinders to play higher and a few more fish to take a shot. dont really see any real positives to people that already play this tournament, since it seems like their edge is just going to decrease.

Re: WTF Stars?

some entitled ass definitions of promotions in here

promotion = anything you promote, doesnt mean YOU specifically have to be given value

Re: WTF Stars?

Bottom line here, 95% of players are digging this promo. The 5% are in this thread

This.

Guys... PStars is giving randoms and fish a chance to win lots of money and then donk it off again in the next weeks.
Watch and see how many randoms finish deep then insta reg for some HU matches or next weeks 109s. This can't be bad.

Re: WTF Stars?

This is awesome for a lot of people I don't know, and this is one of the best weekends of the year for them to run it. It's bad for me but w/e, stars knows I'll play anyways.

I see. $100+ freeroll per player in a 10,000+-player tourney. That would be interesting.

This is most definitely a promotion, although it's not a giveaway. It may well have benefit for the regulars in the highlighted majors, as well... as their favourite tournaments get more attention.

Re: WTF Stars?

if the buyin is cut and the guarantee stay the same, it is a promo. I like it.
