what position were u with A9os and any reads on the CO player?

A6o is a std shove on 10bb when it falls to you on btn.

A9oo was in small blind,
I could fold it cause everyone seems pretty tight at FT...I was thinking maybe he had Kx/Qx i dominated his hand...even pocket pair a flip

The two hands are very different. Open shoving 10bb on BTN with A6 is standard, and running into AK is just bad fortune.

However, when someone has already open-shoved 10bb you have to make sure re-shoving is +ev given his likely range. Unless he's a very wide shover, you'll find A9 doesn't stack up well against his range. He has to be shoving wider than 20% for you to be ahead there, and even then it's a flip.

The shove charts are out there to be sure. Idk what the charts say, prob just fold the A9. For me I run through the combos i think the 10BB shover would have and remember that he needs to hold an 8 or lower to be ahead. So even if he has A8 then his shove should fold out my A9. Also KT and QT or better and your A9 is not dominating.

With 10BB i think any ace is a shove from any position. Especially at a FT.

If you made it to 9th you must have had a few things go your way earlier. My guess is there was probably a hand when you got it in bad and hit, which kept you in the tourney. Sometimes you have to put these things into perspective.

If there were no bad players aggro betting into you while u having possibly the best hand., u wouldn't stand a chance holding big stack into FT. I agreed, I only had one suckout when HJ opened I shoved with A7oo in sb turn a straight against KK

It's called the availability bias, recent examples are more prominent in our minds than earlier ones. So we tend to focus on the annoying hand that busted us and forget about the important pots we won earlier in the tourney that got us to that point.
