his overall graph really flattens out because of all the sng volume he has been playing lately. should be getting 2m vpps this year (i think, depends on volume of the big sngs). obv i am biased as Elio is my closest friend in poker, but i got a lot of respect for his work/grind ethic. rakeback this year will be 200k+ (i think?).

that first sng heater was epic. i can remember watching him play the 3500s while living with him in cabo during scoop (possibly wcoop, idk). he obv ran way way way over EV and the swings were insane every day. some of the 7500s also went which were a pretty fun sweat. I think the last sunday he had something like a 45k swing while he was playing a full mtt schedule.

correct if Im wrong but isnt 45k swings a bit much for only 300k profit in sngs ? Im aware of the variance just not sure its worth it ?

haha the sngs that smok currently plays its easily possible to lose 300-500k pre rakeback. 45k is big in one day but literally nothing considering he was probably playing 5ks where a million dollar downswing would be possible if enough games ran.

smok has drastically improved in hypers this year but hasnt even come close to having a downswing so that graph is super misleading in terms of the variance to expect.

Being on top of the leaderboard is not the same as being a top reg. He just plays a ****load of tourneys on stars

other than wizo in 2011 or whatever, very few tlb grinders have made the leap to being considered elite. Doubt they care though, they're obviously making very good money
