Do you guys think it will actually hit 1,000,000 players?

It's capped at 300,000 players

how could you skip WCOOP?

I'm doubtful that the servers will be able to handle the 200K+ players at once. I have a vague memory of a similar thing happening in the past where they had to issue heaps of refunds after the servers went down during a massive field tourney.

Start to finish, how long do you think 1st event lasts?

it's relatively easy to estimate, with 300k players average stack on the FT will be 50M so assuming people will be stalling and whatnot the blinds will be at least 1M/2M, which is level 65, which should happen after around 6 hours of playing including breaks. FT shouldn't take more than 1 hour.

Common Sense is crushing the servers. We are averaging 30 sec. to 1 minute dead time between hands being dealt in another tourny. The other tourny I am in is a turbo. I feel like I am getting ripped off, like 2 hands per blind level due to dead time while servers catch up due to Common Sense. Not sure Stars was ready for this.

we played maybe 1 hand in the last 10 mins in h16

sure fun

I wish Stars would dedicate completely separate servers when they try to run a 25,000 table single tournament gimmick.

OP, it would take 10 million to reach the guarantee, not 1 million.

It's a clever move though.
I wonder how many of the 253,698 entrants had to deposit to have 1c in their account.
$10 minimum deposit....

Didn't this beat the world record for largest online tournament? Or does the buyin have to be at least 1$?

looks like 1cent buy-in counts

I don't think the record means chit when you screw up every other players tournament with excessive delays and stoppages.
10-05-2015 , 06:57 PM
and 90% of the field sitting out

Lol they forgot to switch observer chat off for the final table. Tough sh*t if they want to make a deal I guess.
