I'm talking like set over set deep, laying down QQ correctly preflop deep, where the folding player had some sick read based on past play maybe...is there any legendary youtube hands from live tournaments? Do you have any HHs or stories of your own?

Note that most of the convo happened before we knew what anyone actually had

I was kinda tempted to link that other Obst fold of the century against Qui Nguyen but I really like the guy and that would've been such a dick move

My best fold was holding A23x in WSOP O8 tournament and flop was 478 for non-counterfeitable nut low. Facing a raise and re-raise, I mucked and spared myself hanging around for 1/6th of pot. Nothing spectacular.

Quite impressed with the Obst fold.

If Jen Harman or Vanessa Selbst could have gotten away from their top set full in the WSOP, that would have been the best ever.

Best fold I've ever seen live:

Played with a competent semi-pro that folded the nuts in PLO on the flop.

It was 1-2-5-10 PLO ... everyone had $3k+.

There was a $30 raise pre, 4-5 players on the flop and something like $120 in the middle. Flop was 789 rainbow. Action went something like "Super Nit 1" bet pot on flop for like $120, "Super Nit 2" pot-re-raises flop ... "Villian tank/folds 10 J xx"

Apparently he had no redraw at all, something 10 J 2 3 ,no backdoor flush draws and he just knew he was chopping at best.

He was correct - both super nits had 10 J, but one also had a set and ended up making a boat on the river and scooping a huge pot.
