I have a Dell XPS 1710 laptop. I've had it for two years and it's about time for an upgrade. I play exclusively on this computer and don't have a baller setup or anything.
I do take notes.
I've had my best results in preliminary events. Anywhere from like $2000-$5000 full ring NLHE. I've also been really successful in HU NLHE tournaments. Heads up tournaments are the most exciting IMO.
I don't use PT or HUD.
I'm not anywhere close to as good of an online tournament player as the top ranked online tournament players. I have a lot to learn. I always pay attention to the great online players when I'm in an online MTT with them to try to learn as much as possible.
I'm trying to get the FTOPS win. So far 2 shallow cashes in 4 attempts. Holla.
To many people are just ready to give up, as I mentioned earlier in this thread. Everyone is ready to just chalk spots up to coolers.
I tried doing adderrol like one week while playing and it did help a lil I think. Still, I'm never gonna try to go find it and I was nervous about the possibility of getting hooked. No energy drinks.
I've gotten really good at calculating opponents stack sizes over the past couple of years. It's like shuffling chips, you get better with time. Practice eyeballing stacks everytime someone puts their chips in the middle. Try to count it out in your head before the dealer does. This will help.
I ran a pretty big one in the WSOP prelim that I finished 2nd in. With 40ish people left this kid Carter Gil minraised up front, a fish called. Carter looked really weak to me, so I looked down at 84o and raised it to like 7bb total. Carter instafolded and fish called. I flopped no hand no draw on like 662. guy checked and I decided to move in full pot. He tanked 4 minutes and folded AK faceup. The bluff isn't too far from standard, but it was a risky and memorable one considering what was at stake.
I'm happy when I play, definitely. I enjoy poker.
I very rarely speak at the table.
I just really focus hard late in tournaments.
I'm not the guy to ask about learning PLO, sorry.
