please change something these 2nd chances need more promotion, they are super reginfested and your registration policy seems to be overdoing it (short latereg etc)

Because of all the same reasons that stars give every year when we have this discussion. I'm not saying it's right, but it is what it is. Sometimes you have to deal with the world as it is, rather than wish the world would change to be as you would like it. By all means continue lobbying them to change their policy on these if you think it's worth doing, but they've maintained this stance for a long time and it seems unlikely to succeed now when it failed last year and the year before and the year before......

So, if you want to play them then maybe spend a little energy to improve your chance of not missing them, rather than wasting effort on a complaint that is likely to fall on deaf ears.

Big +1 to all of these. Basically seems like a no-brainer, and these steps should blatantly be put in place.

+1 to OP, absurd that you can't reg in advance for the second chance events, and just throw a small token guarantee on each and the numbers will be insane

I agree with you in a way, though I really dislike asking time out of somebody elses life to do something for me when I could do it easily myself, in this case pre-regging me. I could/should set alarm clocks to reg mid-session, but in practice sometimes I forget, I get frustrated and stars loses a player from one of their mtts.

All you need is a pop up saying "you have registered for wcoop #X would you like to pre register for the 2nd chance for #X?".

If you unreg that wcoop you unreg the 2nc chance, and can only reg when normal reg opens.

Presumably Stars believe there's a subset of players who might be inclined to play a WCOOP event, but would instead play the 2nd Chance for ~half the buyin if they were aware of its existence. So the 2nd Chances are deliberately hidden from view, and are aimed at the regs / pros rather than the occasional fun players.

Not saying it makes sense, just that's my understanding of the reasoning behind it.

Shouldnt be a problem really. Open reg like a normal mtt, put a gtd on it. But being a 2nd chance you are not allowed to play it if you are not playing / did play the ME.

the corporate stupidity on this was always baffling to me.ITS ALREADY WORKING VERY WELL, NO NEED TO CHANGE, ALL GOOD GUYS/CANT DETRACT FROM WCOOP EVENTS. It was the same whenever I or someone else would suggest moving the super tues from the 5pm EST time slot (especially for COOPs).

amayastars is all about the profits though and they did move the super tues back so i wouldn't be surprised if this actually works this time instead of bashing our head up against the wall as we did previously when talking about this topic
