The 1k had 66 entrants. First prize was just shy of $18k but there was a 3 way chop (16k, 11.5k, 11k)

Anyone here looking for a new place in August? My current lease ends August 1st and I'm looking to live here another 3 months. I'd really love to get a roommate and stay in this condo downtown by Edgewater.

Surrey is actually changing. If you are looking to live here long time, investing in real estate in Surrey is the way to go. The Surrey Central area is forecast to have the same type of growth that Yaletown had in the 80's-90's

Yeah I like Surrey just fine. The biggest drawback for me has been the lack of quality restaurants. I've found a few Asian hole in the walls that I really like though, especially Pho Tam. Def worth it to save nearly 1K a month in rent vs. Vancouver proper.

Is anyone interested in getting dinner sometime in the next few days? I'm here by myself because my roommates both went back to the USA to play some dumb live tournament in Florida (and probably to get some sleep / not have to listen to super loud traditional African music 18 hours a day).

I'm moving away from Vancouver at the end of September so I am giving up my place.

If someone wants, I can put you in touch with my building owner for my place.

It's a good 1bdrm, $900/month on a month to month rental agreement. I'm already looking to get rid of most of the large items in the place (king size bed, book shelf, couch, chairs etc) so I could just leave all these items here for your use.
