So I think I will return the Chillstream and buy an XBOX 360 controller however its the controller made for the XBOX and not for PC. I will have to download the drivers, right? I have a 64bit OS with Vista so I hope this **** is not too complicated. Or do I only need Xpadder?
I am just not sure because it says XBOX 360 controller FOR WINDOWS. This is still the driver I would need if I bought the controller for the console and not the one that is made for the PC and comes with the driver on a CD, yea?

yes but you still need either a wireless receiver or a 360 usb cable for the pad

I thought all XBOX 360 controllers/pad are made with a USB port whether they plug into an XBOX console or PC, right? Or are the ones made for the console made with an XBOX 360 specific port?

no, every pad comes with the input on top for a usb cable, but you need the usb cable itself. Theyre dirt cheap on ebay
Is there a free alternative to TableNinjaFT that I can use to do this? I don't want to spend $60 just to test this out, but it does look pretty awesome. Any free ahk scripts at all?
ive been having problems with the controller either stopping to respond or not performing specific actions (ie clicking the mouse) did you have any similar problems, suggested solutions?
Also using the switch to table function usually makes the controller stop responding.

Do you think using a gamepad for 40+ hours a week will not affect your wrists adversely also? I am unsure but willing to try it out for sure. Any position that you assume for extended periods of time is not good for your body. But it can't be any worse than the mouse+keyboard setup I think.
Nice, I was in the beta so I didn't know I had another 30 days. Now I can crush in super turbos and only need to use like 3 buttons. Push,Fold,Check. Going to be so nice.
ok first off, a wireless xbox360 controller needs to have a special receiver that you can find on ebay for 10 dollars. the usb that a wireless controller uses is for charging purposes only, not for connecting to the software.
secondly, don't waste your money on buying a controller "for windows" the only difference is the 10-15$ difference goes towards them giving you a cd when you can dl the drivers easily straight from the site. what my friend does with his wireless controller is that he plugs his usb cord into a ipod charger while it "transmits wirelessly."
I recommend just buying the cheaper wired one, since I can't imagine having your controller die without a spare charger while in a huge session.
