Tournament Schedule Question

Can someone explain this schedule to me?
Whats the difference bestween 1a and 1b are these sats to get into 3a /3b ?
Sorry for the begginer question.....not sure what all the different tournys mean?

1a and 1b are two start days for tourney 1, and 3a and 3b are two start days for tourney 3. If its a regular tourney you can either play day a or b, but if its a re-entry you can prob play day b if you bust on day a.
