Has anyone else noticed more time bank stalling than ever before in tournaments at the moment? And I'm not talking about when we are nearing the bubble. For example, playing a deep stack tournament the other day, down from 1000 to the final 27, and two Russians were running the clock down every single hand for over three hours. In a regular speed tournament last night, the person to my right was running the clock down every single hand from the very start of the tournament. Not only is it majorly tilting and puts the entire table at a disadvantage compared to the rest of the tourney (particularly when you're at the last 3 tables!), but it ruins the fun of the game and I don't actually see the advantage of it. Is this just me? Should poker sites be doing more to stop this when it's clearly taking the mickey?

Obvs the advantage comes from stalling for pay jumps. If i recall correctly it even happened deep in the ME one year and the commentators were pissed. Not sure how you'd deal with this online though with no clock

I'd happily stall a bit for 42k extra (wsop situation)

Not from the very first hand of the tournament though. And neither when the buy in was $2 and the next pay jump is like 50c.

I dunno man, 1/4 your buy in is significant in the long run, it's not only 50c when your BR is small. As for the first case maybe he just sucks at multi-tabling? :P

Sometimes people just leave but table ninja keeps sitting them straight back in after timing down.

Maybe they realize (as you admitted its impact on you), that doing so tilts others at their table, giving them an advantage.

maybe he's playing 40 tables and it takes the full amount of time to get to the next hand

Nope. With the Russians actually, looking at their OPR all they seem to play is the $2.75 deep stacks which is odd, and they were single tabling.
